Pvt. Chris Schafer
U.S. Army National Guard

Chris and his wife are from Mentone (Warsaw) Indiana. Next to his wife, (his greatest love) his next love is hockey which he began playing at the age of four. Chris played as a goalie all through high school and then joined the service. Currently in the first stages of training, Chris is likely to be deployed later this year or early next year. Chris is 20 years old and his father is Greg Shafer of the 44th Indiana.

William will be graduating from OSUT (one station unit  training) in late May. He does not have a email address or permanent address as yet.
 
After graduation, he will most likely to be sent to Fort Riley for more school/training in a 'pool' of the 19’Ds (Cavalry Scouts) who will be serve in one of the battalions in the 1st. Heavy Brigade Combat Team-1st Infantry Division.

William is the son of Col. James Moffet, Commanding the Western Brigade, First Federal Division
